SAATHII's Call: Don't Turn Away, Get Involved!
5.1 million are already infected with HIV/AIDS. India is second to South Africa in number of HIV/AIDS cases. The virus has moved beyond high risk groups into the general population.
These statistics are grim, but the epidemic is still at an early phase and can be steered off its course. We must give priority to fighting HIV/AIDS, because contributing to the response again HIV/AIDS means contributing to the health and development of a nation.
You can make a difference in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Simply volunteer your time and your efforts will go a long way to curbing the epidemic.
