The Calcutta office was started in May 2002 and functioned from the home of Pawan Dhall till December 2003, when it moved to its current location at Salt Lake City, Calcutta 700 064.

Programs in the Calcutta office include capacity building for PLWHA, MSM and Transgender community-based organizations (mainly in eastern India), reference library services, media advocacy campaigns, BCC development, cultural programming and technical assistance to West Bengal State AIDS Prevention & Control Society and its partners on process documentation.
