The information provided here is focused around OVC living in India, and on the family as primary unit of service delivery in the continuum of care, but includes resources from every continent and phase of the HIV epidemic.

In addition, wherever appropriate they have been sorted into India-specific and general categories. About Us
SAATHII – Solidarity and Action Against the HIV Infection in India – was founded in 2000 as an informal HIV/AIDS e-forum providing scientific updates on the pandemic, and has steadily grown into a full-fledged organization with six offices in India and the USA. SAATHII’s mission is to strengthen and expand HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment services throughout India by providing support to more than 150 governmental and civil society organizations through the following core areas:

SAATHII’s Family Care Continuum Programs strive to reduce the impact of HIV/AIDS on children and their families through a comprehensive and sustainable approach that:
•Ensures the proper growth and development of children in a safe environment
•Reduces HIV related morbidity and mortality among parents and children
•Improves economic productivity among family members and care givers supporting children affected by HIV
APFCC Program is one of the Family Centered Care initiatives of SAATHII. Currently the program serves 647 families including 913 people living with HIV (803 adults and 110 children) with comprehensive community and home based care services in Nellore and Rangareddy districts of Andhra Pradesh.
